Nectriopsis violacea (J.C. Schmidt ex Fr.) Maire 1911
This is an ascomycetous parasite on the common yellow to yellow-orange slime mold, Fuligo septica. It also serves as the type species for the Bionectriaceae family, which is in the Hypocreales order of the ascomycota. Initially purple, it loses its color over time.
