Amanita elongata Peck
usually has a bright egg-yellow to orange-yellow somewhat bell-shaped cap with a non-striate margin, except with age. The free gills are crowded to sub-crowded, white to cream in color. The stipe is white and long relative to the cap width. The partial veil is light yellow to bright yellow and located toward the stem apex. The volval material is bright yellow and loose around the base. As with Amanita flavoconia, this material can often be found in and on the ground where the mushroom emerges from withing the soil. Can be found in coniferous and oak forests.
