Russula claroflava Grove
The 'Yellow Swamp Russula’ favors damp to boggy wet locations under conifers, birch and aspen. Often seen in moss. Yellow cap, white gills and stipe. Bruises gray-black. It sometimes has a fruity odor. Mild tasting and edible when cooked. It is in the Russulaceae family of the Russulales.
