Trametes ochracea is a thin, ochre-orange-tannish, zonate, tiered polypore. It is categorized as a white rotting saprotrophic fungi that grows on various hardwoods, especially beech and oak. The pores are  circular, small and pale ochre in color. Spore print is white. Spores are larger than those of Trametes versicolor.
