Trametes cinnabarina  (Jacq.) Fr. (Pycnoporus cinnabarinus)  

Annual.  Causes white rot. A dyeing polypore. Dull red-orange cap, bright red-orange pores. orange to orange small annual bracket cap and pored hymenium. Saprotrophic primarily on bark of dead hardwood and occasionally conifers. Seems to favor cherry, birch and beech. Inedible, but useful for dyeing wool and making fungi jewelry. Fruits in summer-autumn. It is in the Polyporaceae family of the Polyporales order.
