Macrotyphula juncea (Alb. & Schwein.) Berthier 1974
This genus of clavarioid-looking gregarious pale club fungi is super slender, and barely noticeable growing on forest debris consisting of dead conifer and broad-leaved tree limbs as well as on fallen leaves. It can be found in late autumn, although it is easily overlooked. The upper portion of the fruiting body is its fertile surface. The base is slightly swollen and ‘hairy’ at its attachment point. It has a white spore print. It is in the Typhulaceae family of the Agaricales.
