Arrhenia epichysium

Arrhenia epichysium (Person: Fries) Redhead, Lutzoni &Vilgalys

is also known as Omphalina epichisium. The cap initially has an incurved margin, but becomes decurved with maturity. It is striate and appears funnel-shaped when open, brownish with spotty paler browns and has a dark marginal edge. It has decurrent pale grayish-brown gills that are well-spaced and interspersed with shorter lamellae (gills). The stem is smooth pale grey at the apex and darker brown nearer the slightly whitish hairy base. These were found growing from dead conifer wood in the NH White Mountain forest.

This is in the Hygrophoraceae family of the Agaricales order.
