There are three elements of the Exposure Triangle: ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed.  Each relates to the way it interacts with light.  Importantly: a change in one of these elements will require a change in the others.  For example, if you boost the ISO from 100 to 400, you can either/or increase the shutter speed or close down the aperture the aperture.
