Albatrellus ovinus (Schaeff.) Kotl. & Pouzar 1957
It is the type species for the genus Albatrellus. Mycorrhizal with conifers. Pale yellow flesh visible on specimens with cracked caps. Pores are tiny and round, except for the stipe where they are larger and angular. Spore print is white. Spores are inamyloid. Annual. It is in the Albatrellaceae family of the Russulales.
