Hypomyces lactifluorum (Schwein.) Tulles & C. Tulles is commonly known as the ‘Lobster Mushroom.’ Host mushroom is the white Russula brevipes. The parasite transforms the host’s gills and stipe and turns an unexceptional soft and brittle mushroom into a fairly long-lasting solid brightly colored orange to reddish gourmet delight.
