Marasmius oreades (Bolton) Fries
grows in lawns, often in a fairy ring. Bland tannish cap, often with bit of an umbo, white to tan gills, white spore print. Sturdy and flexible stem. Saprobic. Like other members of the Marasmiaceae, the tissues can dry out and reconstitute when it rains again. It is able to release spores through several off-on cycles in a season. It is in the Marasmiaceae family of the Agaricales order.
