Domed/conical cap, flattening to slightly umbonate. Covered in rusty fibrillose, densely crowded scales against pale brown/ochre background. Margin wooly, slightly inrolled. Gills wide, cream, toothed, splashed with pink. Stipe swollen at base and color of cap. White sporeprint. Common under conifers in mountains..It is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
