CLAVARIADELPHACEAE family

The Clavariadelphacee family is in the Gomphales order of the basidiomycota. There are three ot four recognized Claravriadelphus species in the northeast: Clavariadelphus americanus, Clavariadelphus pistillaris, and Clavariadelphus unicolor. The flesh of all Clavariadelphus species tends to be “spongy".
