GYROPORACEAE family 

Species in the Gyroporaceae family tend to have the following characteristics: caps are dry, somewhat furfuraceous to squamulose; white spongy pore-surface that becomes yellowish with age, and depending on the species, blue, blue-green or purplish oxidation reactions; dry fairly smooth to fibrillose stipe with a faint or easily visible veil stipes that are stuffed to hollow. Spores are yellow.
