Gymnopus confluens (Pers.) Antonin, Halling & Nordell 1997

It is possibly a complex. Saprotroph on hardwood and conifer litter on forest floor. Grows in close groups or clusters. Initially a warm cinnamon brown that quickly fades to pale tan. Gills are fairly close. Spore print is white. Buff stipe is covered with white fuzzy hairs. Stem is much longer than cap is wide. It is in the Omphalotaceae family of the Agaricales order.
