Russula simulans Burl. 

has a smooth, streaky green cap that sometimes is violet or is spotted yellowish in the center. It is usually paler and somewhat striate at the margin, which remains inrolled to maturity  The cuticle can be peeled back about half-way to the center. The gills are close, white, narrow near the margin and are forked at or near the stipe apex. The stem is white, as are the spores. Found with hardwoods in summer. Not common. While edible, its taste is slightly more acrid than its lookalike, Russula heterophyllaIt is in the Russulaceae family of the Russulales.
