Champagne-yellowish cap initially sporting dense powdery slimy patches of off-white universal veil. Short marginal striations. Stipe cottony. Ring is fragile and may disappear. Basal bulb covered with brownish universal veil powder. White spore print. Common in autumn in the northeast. Associated with oaks and conifers.
