Strobilurius esculentis (Wulfen) Singer 1962
Strobilurius esculentis is a small white-spored cap and stem mushroom that grows on spruce needles and cones. The cap is convex becoming flat, brown to gray-brown. The gills are crowded, white, somewhat broad and white-spored. The stem is yellow-brown and paler at the apex. It is in the Physalacriaceae family in the Agaricales order.
