Tubaria confragosa (Fr.) Harmaja 1978

The ‘Ringed Tubaria’ is slightly larger than the 'Furfuraceous Tubaria.’ Its cap and stem are covered in white cottony scales. It has pale well-spaced gills with many medium length and shorter ones along the margin, which become orange-brown as the spores mature. It can be found growing on dead deciduous as well as conifer wood. It used to be in the Inocybaceae family, but is currently in the Tubariaceae family of the Agaricales.
