Lactifluus glaucascens (Lactarius piperatus var. glaucescens)
Medium to large white dry, smooth convex cap with inrolled margin becoming flat with depressed center and showing brown spotting. Gills are attached, close, narrow and white to cream. Stem is white and dry. Latex is white and moderately flowing. It gradually turns blue-green on exposure to air. Found in summer and fall. Acrid taste. Inedible. This is in the Russulacae family of the Russulales order.
