
Russula albida Peck. White small russula, pale yellow center, viscid smooth cap with faintly striate margin. Gills are pale yellow-orange, dense, some are short, some fork near stem. Stipe is white and spongy changing to gray. Base is wider than apex. Found with conifers and in mixed woods. Taste is mild to slightly bitter. It is in the Russulaceae family of the Russulales.
