Ringless Honey Mushroom is the only Armillaria species without an annulus (ring). Parasitic and pathogenic of oaks and fruit trees. Always found in caespitose clusters of 8 to 50 or more fruiting bodies. Desarmillaria tabescens is in the Physalacriaceae family in the Agaricales order.
