Hydnoporia tabacina (Hymenochaetopsis tabacina) (Sowerby) Spirin, Mettinen & K.H. Larss. 2019
is a tobacco-colored saprotrophic resupinate crust fungus found on the underside of hardwood branches. It is related to the glue fungi - Hydnoporia olivacea (Hymenochaete olivacea) and Hydnoporia corrugata (Hymnenochaetopsis agglutinans). Often short tiered, zoned hairy caps develop on the exposed sides. It is in the Hymenochaetaceae family of the Hymenochaetales family.
