Cortinarius paleiferus Svrček (Cortinarius paleifer) 1968
This small dark brown ‘cort’ may be the same species as Cortinarius flexipes or may be a variety of that species.
The cap is often pointed of at least knobbed at the center. Both the cap and stem are fibrous. There are white thread-like scales on the cap margin and on the dark brown stipe - remnants of the white cortina. ‘Both' have the odor of the geranium plant.
