Tricholoma pessundatum (Fr.) Quel. 1872

This large Tricholoma can be found in sandy soil under conifers in September and October. It has a viscid reddish-browncap with a paler orange margin. The gills are very close, whitish becoming and staining reddish brown with maturity. Sporeprint is white. The stipe is slighly fibrilose and stains reddish-brown at the base. Toxic species. It is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
