Tricholoma subsejunctum Peck 1912

"Separating Trich”. Yellowish-gray cap with central knob, streaked with black radial fibers. Gills are notched, close, broad, and white becoming yellowish. Stalk whitish, thick, and stuffed. Whitespore print. Found in mixed woods, especially under pine, spruce, hemlock, and oak. Though most common in fall, it is one of the only Trichs to appear in summer. Odor and taste mealy, cucumber-like, bitter, unpleasant. It is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
