Caps convex to flat with low umbo; slippery when wet; flattened scales; cottony margin, ochre to orange-brown, bruising red-brown. Gills attached, close, staining rust. Stipe orange-brown and scaly. Flesh white, thick. White spore print. Under conifers. Taste and odor of ground meal. It is in the Tricholomataceae family of the Agaricales order.
