Boletus sensibilis Peck 1880
Brick to rose-pink-red cap, yellow pores. Stem is yellow with rose color near the base. Stains rapidly and voluminously blue when cut or bruised. Can be confused with Baorangia bicolor (Boletus bicolor). Unlike the latter, it smells of curry. While many field guides list this as toxic, it is known to be well-tolerated by mycophagists. It is in the Boletaceae family of the Boletales order.
