HARRYA chromapes (Tylopilus chromapes)
"Chrome-footed Tylopilus" Convex rosy-pink cap becoming flat and paler pink-tan with age. Pores are creamy white becoming pinkish to pinkish tan with maturity. Spore print pinkish-brown. Pore surface depressed around stipe apex. Stipe background color is whitish with reddish to pinkish scabers. Base of stipe is chrome yellow. Edible and good to eat, but may be infested with gnat flea and fly larva. Ectomycorrhizal with both hardwoods and conifers. It is in the Boletaceae family of the Boletales order.
